political blog entry

As many of you know, I have a very conservative husband and in-laws....and my family is very liberal. So I have been getting an earful on both sides of the debate. So, here I am presenting my moderate point of view....
McCain - I have two large concerns. 1. His age. I don't know if he will make it 4 or 8 years. He sounds a lot like my Grandpa when he started loosing his ability to think clearly. Then he chooses someone who has no national/international political experience. Palin would not be a good choice for me she only had 13 years experience, and only 2 of those are on a large stage. Palin is even greener than Obama. 2. McCain's "my way or the high way" mentality. How is he going to do with international negotiations? I am afraid he will loose his temper and push the "big red button" and nuke them all. (Ok, I know that is a little extreme, but it is a fear.)
Obama - He is such a good orator. He can inspire people, but 1. He is promising the moon, but he isn't the one making the laws if he is president. If he wants so much change, he should stay in the senate where he can make those laws. 2. What kind of commander in chief will he be? He has no military experience that I know of. 3. What kind of international negotiator will he be? He has no international experience besides that one trip. And after that one trip, his views changed (a good thing to listen and be able to change your mind) but that also shows me how 'green' he is in this area. 3. He is the most liberal senator in the senate, Ted Kennedy is #2 and Biden is #3. This makes me very concerned with Judicial nominations.
So, who am I going to vote for? I don't know. It is looking like McCain - because he is a republican, and would nominate conservative Judges. And because I would have voted for McCain 1 year ago, hands down. I really liked him until he got the nomination.
Ok, I know this entry is going to lend itself to a lot of response. Feel free. I love a political debate.
