We visited Topsail Island for a week. The beach was wonderful, the house...not so much. I am bleaching everything today (there were bed bugs).
One thing we did miss greatly was a central A C. There were two portable units, but they could not keep up. It never was below 85 degrees in that house. It was also moldy and filled with mildew and pet stains! YUCK! Good thing there was a beach outside.
We also spent on day up at Fort Macon and the Maritime Museum.

Oh no! I am so sorry about the beach house. Yuck!!! Amanda and Derek just had bed bugs in their house too, and had to have fans that heated their apt. to 140 degrees to kill them. I hope the bleach will work for you because that's much easier! Loved seeing your pictures though and it sounds like the beach was beautiful!
I'm so sorry to hear that, Corey! You got some great pictures, though, and it looks like your time at the beach was fantastic!
