We had a creepy evening last night. We (Craig, Jackson, Miley and I) went to eat at our favorite restaurant and the man who sat across from us was particularly creepy. I didn't really think much of it at the time, other than he complained about every part of his meal; if I had been his waitress, I probably would have dumped his sundae on his head.
After we left, we were going to the bookstore (the kids favorite part of the evening). While walking there from the restaurant, the creepy guy chases us down to give the kids their drinks (which I left on the table intentionally). I said thank you, but I left them there on purpose so the kids don't spill them in the book store.
While in the book store, the kids were having a great time picking out a new book when HE showed up in the kids section. I immediately started looking for Craig, but couldn't see him. He wanted to pay me a compliment (which was creepy) and talk about how Craig didn't get exactly what he ordered at supper (which was more creepy). Thank goodness for Jackson's bladder...he had to go, and it gave us an "out" of the situation.
On the way to the bathroom, we saw Craig and I gave him the "we have to go now, so finish up" look. I didn't know this, but the Creepy guy was following us to the bathroom. Craig stopped him and "talked" to him.
Once out of the bathroom, I was looking for Craig (who was at the checkout), and didn't see him. We went back to the kids section (where we were supposed to meet Craig when he was done), and saw HIM again. I got the kids books, and headed for the checkout. HE finally left the store before us.
Once at the car, HE started to approach us again! Craig 'blocked' that, and HE went back into the restaurant. We left quickly and checked the rear view mirror all the way home.
I am still creeped out and had nightmares all night.
So...hold your kids close, and always know where they are. You never know when a Creep is around.

Oooooh, that is scary! Sounds like you did exactly the right thing- And what a good reminder to keep our kids close!
That is really freaky. I don't even want to ask what restaurant you were at b/c I think I know and we like that place too. Just have to pray daily for God's protection over our kids and our families. I'm so glad Craig was with you, though.

Whoa....I would have freaked out as well! Good thing Craig was with you...you're right you never know who or when someone creepy is looking or lurking :-(
